Emergency Dentistry & Dental Pain
Here When You Need Us Most
Dental emergencies can happen at any time, and fast treatment is often the key to saving a tooth or relieving pain. If you’re experiencing a dental emergency, call our office right away. We’ll do our best to see you the same day.
Common Dental Emergencies We Treat
- Severe toothache or dental pain
- Broken, cracked, or chipped teeth
- Knocked-out (avulsed) tooth
- Swelling of the gums, face, or jaw
- Lost fillings or crowns
- Abscess or infection
- Injuries from accidents or sports
What to Do in a Dental Emergency
- Toothache: Rinse with warm water and use over-the-counter pain relief. Do not place aspirin directly on the tooth or gums.
- Broken or chipped tooth: Save any pieces and rinse your mouth. Apply a cold compress to reduce swelling.
- Knocked-out tooth: Handle the tooth by the crown (not the root). Rinse gently and try to place it back in the socket, or keep it in milk. See a dentist within 30–60 minutes for the best chance of saving it.
- Lost filling or crown: Keep the area clean. If possible, place the crown back on with temporary dental cement from a pharmacy until you can be seen.

Our goal is to relieve your pain quickly and treat the underlying problem. Whether you need a filling, root canal, extraction, or another treatment, we’ll walk you through your options and make sure you’re comfortable every step of the way.
